MY OWN PRIVATE SKETCHBOOK
My Own Private Sketchbooks, a tribute to Gus Van Sant and his film “My Own Private Idaho”, compiles a very large selection of drawings, made over the past 4 years, in accordian notebooks. This project exists so that Magistry could see the colors that he loves changing, the music that inspired him, the films that obsessed him… over more than 4 years. It also presented the possibility to see if there was only his network’s algorithms that organized his tastes or his heightened sensitivity. His drawings are now grouped, by color, in an even greater continuity.
